Recycled polyolefins in granules

Polyolefins are a family of polymers derived from olefins. The most common are polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), the latter divided into HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE. PE and PP have good chemical compatibility: mixed correctly they retain their distinctive mechanical properties — PE offers more elasticity and impact resistance, PP is more rigid.

Our granules are a mix of PE and PP, predominantly the former, and come from post-consumer waste from urban collection. They are available in large quantities and suitable for the most varied applications: from extrusion of irrigation pipes to film for wraps and bags, up to moulding of buckets, containers, pallets, crates and building parts.

In the technical data sheets we always indicate the Melt Flow Rate (MFR), a measure of the polymer's fluidity during melting, expressed in g/10 min.
