Transport: How DALOGA Materials Are Shipped
Selling plastic materials also means knowing how to deliver them to customers in a simple and efficient way.
DALOGA generally sells ex works (EXW). Customers can arrange collection using their own carriers or vehicles.
When useful, DALOGA can also arrange transportation through trusted carriers and tailored logistics solutions. This is an additional service designed to simplify operations and meet customers’ requirements.
Packaging and preparation of goods
The plastic materials marketed by DALOGA are generally supplied in Big Bags placed on pallets.
The weight of each Big Bag is usually between 1,200 and 1,500 kg. However, this may vary depending on several factors, including the material’s specific gravity, product characteristics and the customer’s specific requirements.
The pallets used are generally 110 × 110 cm or 100 × 120 cm, depending on the type of goods and the relevant logistics requirements.
DALOGA does not normally supply materials in 25 kg bags or arrange deliveries by silo trucks or bulk tankers.
Palletised Big Bags therefore remain the standard solution for handling, storage and transportation of our materials.
Road transport: what are the regulations?
Road transport is one of the most widely used ways of shipping plastic materials, both within Italy and to other European countries.
For large shipments, the most common vehicle is the articulated lorry, consisting of a tractor unit and a semi-trailer.
A standard semi-trailer is generally about 13.60 metres long and 2.55 metres wide. The overall vehicle height, including the load, must normally not exceed 4 metres. The usable internal dimensions of the trailer vary according to its model and equipment.
